Dave: I’m going to start using WP
Dave: I feel like I should grumble when I say that
Lisa: it makes you a better citizen, Dave
Lisa: like using public transportation
Dave: public transportation may make you a better citizen
Dave: but walking or otherwise getting there under your own power keeps you fit
Lisa: takes too long if you do it all the time, though
Dave: that’s true
Dave: however, if I kept using the same language and had my libraries organized
Dave: I’d have so much code at my disposal I’d practically have my own WP
* Lisa blinks
Lisa: are you aware of just how many wordpress plugins there are?
Dave: ok, we’re not getting into this =P
Lisa: wise decision =]
Dave: one, I don’t care enough to debate semantics
Dave: two, you’ll probably end up owning me in the end anyway
Lisa: extend an existing codebase
Lisa: contribute to the community
Lisa: doing everything yourself all the time gets selfish
Lisa: (sorry, that just seemed like a really good point)
Dave: doing your own thing has benefits too
Dave: if someone were to discover a WP vulnerability tomorrow
Dave: think of the number of blogs that would be vulnerable
Lisa: wp is no phpbb
Lisa: you’ve got a valid point, but it isn’t a gaping nuisance
Dave: we need to stop
Dave: the urge to wind you up further is about to become irresistable

Dave: I found all my old C++ programs I wrote in high school
Dave: I’m not sure what some of them are, though
Dave: I’m clicking on random EXE files and have no idea what they do! \o/
Lisa: get off my Internet before you hurt somebody
